I occasionally have time to take on freelance Yiddish translation projects. I primarily work with handwritten material and can help translate letters, postcards, captions on photographs, etc. I prioritize working on meaningful projects such as family letters.
All Yiddish materials will be translated into English. I also provide a typed, digital copy of the Yiddish text in standard YIVO orthography. I do not translate English into Yiddish.
I only perform freelance translation as a hobby, not professionally, so it may take me longer to complete projects than professional translators. If this does not meet your needs, I recommend reaching out to another one of the individuals on the Yiddish Book Center's freelance translator list. They can also assist with translation in other languages (e.g. German, Russian) and translation from English to Yiddish.
